ScopeGrade Awards · Canada · United States

Recognizing contractors who set the standard.

The ScopeGrade Awards recognize contractors who consistently demonstrate clear quoting, reliable delivery, strong communication and exceptional customer experiences, earned on verified ScopeGrade projects, not votes or advertising.

Two editions

Canada and the United States, judged separately.

Each country has its own season, eligibility, rankings and winners, with national, regional and trade awards where there's enough activity to choose fairly.

How winners are selected

Earned on the work, not the marketing.

Every award is based on ScopeGrade's published methodology. Here's what that means in practice.

  1. 01

    Verified ScopeGrade projects only

Awards are based on projects hired, confirmed and completed through ScopeGrade. Imported reviews, testimonials and jobs a contractor enters themselves don't count.

  2. 02

Real outcomes, measured the same way for everyone

Homeowner reviews collected by ScopeGrade on every completed job, response and reliability, schedule against the agreed dates (allowing for weather, permits and homeowners' changes), disputes and how they were resolved, and quote completeness.

  3. 03

    Minimums before anyone is considered

A contractor needs enough completed projects and reviews, current verification and insurance, and no unresolved serious disputes. One perfect job can't win; volume adds confidence but can't buy a win.

  4. 04

    Fair comparisons

Trade awards compare contractors within the same trade; regional awards use the contractor's verified business location. Canada and the United States are separate programs.

  5. 05

    People review every winner

ScopeGrade staff check each shortlist for disputes, verification and integrity before approving winners. An award isn't issued where there isn't enough activity to choose fairly.

Not for sale

Contractors can't buy nominations, votes, a better ranking or an award badge. What a contractor pays ScopeGrade is never part of the scoring, there's no public voting, and an award doesn't change how contractors are ranked in the marketplace.

For contractors

Every ScopeGrade project counts.

Win work, deliver it well, and your record builds itself: there's nothing to apply for. Contractors can see their eligibility in their dashboard.
